The Barn Finds shop truck has gone under the knife for the second time since we acquired it last summer.
You may recall that this 1970 GMC Custom Pick Up Truck was sporting the original green interior matching the green exterior. Everything on this truck was green in colour, excluding the black rubber floor mat and incorrect steering wheel that had been installed prior to the purchase.
Trim Tech Interiors of Oshawa was asked to design what they felt fit the space of the cab while keeping our needs and budget in mind. The interior has a complete make over, and is now sporting bucket seats, center console with gauges and storage. The floor of the truck has carpet to help with the acoustics coming from the new stereo and speaker system they installed. Even the dash pad has been replaced and some hard surface areas receiving black paint. You will see that we introduced a head liner with center console including map lights and more storage for sun glasses. The trucks window glass has been tinted to protect the interior, “ya right” it was more for the look. The door skins have been completely replaced including the custom pulls. The kick panels have also been added to create a more custom look.
Take a look at what this 1970 GMC Truck looked like before the modifications.
All I can say is Jason and his team at Trim Tech have pulled another project off for us. If Oshawa is not your area, I can say it is well worth the drive to see Jason and discuss what it is you are looking for.
